Chari

“Art should be a reflection of your true being.”

The nature of Chari’s art work varies but it always involves color. Color can change a mood, which Chari finds intriguing as well as inspirational. Chari continually explores many different mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolors, charcoal and pencil although her present focus has been painting with acrylics on canvas. Born and raised in upstate New York, Chari was inspired early on by her parents as well as her middle school art teacher to pursue a career in art. She graduated with honors in 1986 from the Art and Fashion Institute of New York and began her career in art. Chari started out as an Art Director in advertising in Philadelphia, PA. Although after vacationing in Laguna Beach, she decided that was where she belonged so she moved to Laguna and continued to study art with many of the local artists. Working as an artist for nearly 30 years in many different avenues from Advertising, Art Instruction, Fashion Illustration, Interior Design to Visual and Fashion Design, her passion continues to bring her back to fine art and painting. Chari has had her work displayed in many galleries in Southern California and continues to pursue her desire to inspire others with her art. Out of all her experience, Chari truly enjoys working with children as an art instructor and encouraging their creativity to flow
